Greenacres Bed & Breakfast
Kilteel Road, Rathcoole, County Dublin, Ireland
Greenacres Bed & Breakfast was a very comfortable inn in Rathcoole, one of the little villages around Dublin. It is convenient to Dublin, Leixlip, Castletown and some other places I was hoping to explore.
That’s not exactly how it worked out. The day I was to have checked in I totaled the rental car.
The Garda, the Irish police, asked where I was staying and phoned a taxi to take me to the bed and breakfast. By the time I got there, my hands where completely swollen. Mary Spillane, my hostess, drove me to the hospital.
Mary was so very accommodating. I slept the whole next day and she took very good care of me. I just laid in bed, watched Irish TV and felt sorry for myself.
Twice a day the most beautiful cows I have ever seen walked by.
The most beautiful cows I have ever seen.
Can you hear Martha Jones (Dr. Who) on the TV in the background?
This is the Garda station. I had the taxi bring me by to see if there was anything I needed to do about the car wreck. There was no one home.
This is the taxi. They brought me from the car wreck to the B&B. A different taxi brought me from the hospital back to the B&B.
The third morning, Sunday, I had arranged for a taxi to pick me up. I waited and waited and they never came. Mary tried to call them and got no answer. Finally, her husband drove me to the Kingdom Hall.
Greenacres Bed & Breakfast is very clean, bright and convenient. The food was wonderful. And I could not have had more helpful hosts.
