I took Clare Road to Whitepark Road, the Causeway Road on the way to Giant’s Causeway from Ballycastle, Northern Ireland.

At some points Whitepark Road runs right at the top of the cliffs.

Portbraddon is a tiny hamlet on White Park Bay, on the Antrim Coast between Giant’s Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge.  Bradán is the Gaelic word for salmon. So Portbraddan is Salmon Port. It used to be a salmon fishing station.  The local church, St. Gobbans, is said to be the smallest church in Ireland. It was built in 1950s as a cow byre. A byre is what we call a shed or barn here in the States. It is only 10’ x  4’.
